Got Shells? Anclote Island

So excited for tomorrow. I’m going on The Dolphin Cruise plus Beach Excursion, in the Gulf town of Tarpon Springs . I hope to see some dolphins tomorrow. I get to diembark on Anclote Island and search for seashells. Shelling is always a relaxing challenge I love to take. The opportunity is fabulous to get up close and personal with Florida wildlife. They even allow swimming off the island. This is one occassion not to forget a camera. More adventures from Tarpon Spring’s on the way!

To Travel is Worth any Cost or Sacrifice….

This is a quote from Eat, Pray, Love. I have loved Julia Roberts since I was  young. I somehow can relate to her feelings in the movie of being confused, unsure of her footing, not knowing the direction of her own life. I somehow feel, on the grand stage of my life, there has to be more than trials, suffering, disappointment, abandonment and neglect. It’s as if I hear the Director shouting through His mega phone,  “Show me more joy! I want to see more joy! Come on, get into character…more joy!” If I’m the starring actress in my own life’s screenplay,  then I need some really good supporting roles, I need a star studded cast, in order to make the story of my life a blockbuster. I havn’t always had that support , but I went searching for it. I have some great supporting role models in my life. I am on the set, I am willing to finally play the role I have often avoided in the past. I am a wanderer…so I will travel, I am a dreamer…so I shall dream…. I am a creator…so I will create….I am inspiration…so I will inspire, I am compassion, I will seek out the suffering. Before the final act of the story of my life, I now realize, I am worthy of happiness….so I shall find joy. How will you find joy dear reader?

Do More of What Makes You Happy…..

I often get tangled up in day to day living. So many thing’s to get done. Hours turn into days…and days into weeks. I realize sometimes there was little that was done, that I really loved to do. Bougainvillea is a beautiful, blossoming shrub that  announces spring is here in Florida. I took this shot wandering through town. This just makes me feel happy. There is such wisdom in this quote. It opens my mind to new ideas, people, and things. Without this openess to this vast globe I wander, I can forget the humanity I share with this intriguing, astonishing world I live on. Traveling is a gift to my soul. It awakens it, and arouses the depths of my soul. To be in touch with others and to entertain strangers may at some point bring me into the presence of angels. I wouldn’t want to risk missing that. To Only See Such Magnificence

One of the mysteries of wandering that I have discovered, is that, I find beautiful creations that only bloom in certain locals. What a down right shame it would be to only see such magnificence in a magazine or picture, quite another emotion to experience this worlds variety of miracles up close and personal. Comfort, Growth, Finding Purpose in Your Life.

Sometimes in life I find myself in a familiar, yet safe, comfort zone. What life has been teaching me, is this…. the real magic happens when I stretch, feel the uneaisiness of a new venture, tolerate the fear of the unkown, and finally break free from the doldrum of the routine of life. Comfort feels warm, fuzzy, and safe, but growth takes me from soft living, into depths I never could have imagined. To travel, to wander, to try new things, and meet new people means something less superficial than a cozy life. It teaches compassion, understanding, expansion of the soul, and mind, in ways I could have never imagined. I’m taking a leap of faith, a risk, even the willingness to risk losing it all, in attempting a discovery journey. It’s an excavating of my soul, an archeologist dig into my purpose. It’s finding my true purpose in  life in this world, that I know I was meant to discover and grow from. So for me, it will be, a wandering life, where ever my funds, my friends, my luck, and blessings can take me. Peace unto you all my fellow journey seekers. May you find something a little deeper than comfort in this life, and leave this life, with no regrets.
